I am a driven player who believes ardently in the practice of fundamentals and the accuracy of intonation. I auditioned for the U.S Army Band in 2004 and spent 10 years traveling with the group. During this time, I played venues all over the world, including Japan, Korea, Germany, and Iraq among others, and learned to play many different styles of music. I have been a member of the Reading Buccaneers Drum Bugle Corps in Drum Corps Associates continuously since 2007, except for a year away in 2012 when I aged-out of Drum Corps International with the Glassmen from Toledo, OH. I'm a very passionate and invested artist that really enjoys watching his students grow and helping them achieve their goals. I just graduated from Temple University with my masters degree in Jazz Studies, but am versed in many styles of playing and composing. As a freelance trumpeter, I have played at venues all over the U.S. and multiple countries in Europe. I stay flexible to the individual students' needs. I try to keep the student engaged and ask many questions to help them become their own best teacher. I will give assignments and create goals but also want the student to be self motivated. I will not be overly strict when it comes to practice.
