Instruments: Voice, Cello, Trumpet, Flute, Clarinet, Euphonium, Tuba, Music

I have been involved in music my entire life, starting in a percussion group and choir in elementary school. I started on the clarinet at the beginning of middle school. I taught myself how to play the clarinet amongst the other instruments I play with the help and guidance of college professors, band directors, and tricks I noticed along the way. I have been selected and performed in multiple honor bands across my time in middle and high school, including Troy University's honor band and All State. Read More

Instruments: Trumpet

For beginner students, I recommend Essentials of Band for Trumpet. Once the student has a solid foundation of the fundamentals of music, I introduce them to more intermediate level books such as Flexus, Arbans, and Classical Trumpet playing. No matter the level of any student, I always make sure they understand the parts of the Trumpet. I usually give small mini quizzes, and reward the student with small gifts. Instruments: Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium

I always go at the pace a student can handle.  I do try to challenge them but also know that everybody learns differently and at different rates.  I am very flexible.  I hope to motivate the student to trying their best and put their best efforts!  It is very rewarding when a student develops a passion for music!  My goals are always to motivate my students to be the best they can. Instruments: Piano, Voice, Trumpet, French Horn

I also like to assign them exercises from the book titled "A Dozen a Day." This helps with muscle memory as well as get them more comfortable with the instrument. I also have adult books, which are more suitable for the older student, but I am also open for teaching in an area that the student is desiring to learn, and so I can find things to teach that accomidates that. Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Trumpet, Drums, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

I taught my first lesson 5 years ago when I was an under graduate. I began teaching guitar to the public part time at age 19 in the music department of my community college. From there, I went on to a university and continued to teach guitar, bass, and voice while I finished up on getting my performance degree. Ironically enough, some of the best lessons I ever learned in music school weren't even how to play, it was how to teach. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
