Most of my experience with teaching has taken place while traveling on the road and helping individuals prepare for recording sessions. However for more than 10 years now, I've rendered my services at neighborhood schools (elementary and high school); music workshops; private homes; and local churches; working with young people as an assistant teacher, private music teacher and/ or teaching artist. I started teaching private students during my undergraduate years.  During these years many of the students were beginners who were starting in beginning band.  Shortly after my undergraduate studies I taught music in the classroom for the next 15 years.  My classroom experience range from grades pre k- collegiate.  I've taught courses in general music, various theory and composition courses, instrumental band and orchestra.  I've also taught brass methods courses for educators in their preparation for teaching instrumental music.
