A former professional music educator, my desire for freelancing and travel led me on a varied path all over the U.S. and Europe. I am from Brazil and in 2014 I graduated from Sao Paulo University with a bachelor in music education. In addition, I studied trumpet at Sao Paulo Municipal Conservatory from 2015 to the end of 2017. Recently, I got approved as a graduate student in performance at Florida Atlantic University. I was trumpet lead in the symphonic band of the Sao Paulo Municipal Conservatory, and I did participations in various musical groups like Young Symphonic Band From Sao Paulo State, Guarulhos Young Orchestra, Orchestra USP Philharmonic, and also I was trumpet player in a female HipHop band form 2014 to 2017. At other times I studied with members of the Ensemble Modern in Germany. Most recently my musical studies have focused around composition and experimental music performance. I believe that the ultimate lesson that I learned from the best of the teachers, was how to teach oneself how to teach oneself, as you are your own best teacher. Learning a musical instrument should always be a very rewarding and satisfying experience.  Therefore, I have a large variety of techniques in my musical bag of tricks to challenge all types of learners.  During my 10 years as a full time band director, I have developed many musical "games", often based on Suzuki methods, to make learning fundamentals, scales, and repertoire much more enjoyable.  These include practice rewards, Band Olympics, ninja karate belts, and Harry Potter themed games.
