Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Use all major method and etude books. Have a large library of rare etude books on PDF as well as my own exercises I've written out. Example trumpet books for intermediate student: Arban Clarke Sachs Schlossberg Stamp Charlier Vizzutti Bai Lin Irons etc I encourage students to find music they would like to play, even if they aren't able to play immediately. I can modify the music to make it playable until they have progressed enough to play the original. Read More

For beginners, I start with a mixture of the Suzuki method and the Essential Elements book. I find that combining ear training while simultaneously developing the ability to read music only accelerates the learning process. Teaching adults of any level are all about assessing interests and goals. I find out where the interest in creativity lies in every individual and work on developing that so the lessons remain fun and fulfilling. Read More

While I understand that fundamentals are necessary and the need to learn and study the "how" and "why" of music is incredibly important, there is absolutely a place for popular music. I strive to create a fun and captivating setting for students that includes making connections between standard repertoire and modern popular music. Although I have not had any official students, I have taught a handful of my fellow peers throughout my years as a trumpet player. I have learned a magnitude of techniques and different approaches from the numerous and excellent trumpet teachers that I have taken lessons from and I hope to relay some of this information to my own students as well as my own ideas and thoughts. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonards Essential Elements book, as well a basic understanding of music. Once the student has progressed to have a nice grasp of the fundamentals of music, I usually begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance.
