Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Guitar, Trumpet, Music
My teaching methods depend on the age and the level of the student that I am teaching. If it is a young guitar student in middle school, just getting to the point where they can hold the guard guitar correctly and not have it hurt their fingers when they use the frets is a huge step. If they cant get past the hurting of the fingers enough to develop calluses on the end of their fingers, theyre not going to practice. so I start with the instrument and how we can make the student comfortable with the instrument. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonards Essential Elements book, as well a basic understanding of music. I also believe in the importance of listening to as many professional recordings as possible of the instrument the student is taking lessons on. Read More

My teaching style begins with my assessment of each student's abilities, physical, mental, and emotional. By this method I am able to design a realistic program for each student. Patience and encouragement go hand in hand, acknowledging their accomplishments all along the way. Once some fundamentals are established, I add pieces that the student has an interest in learning. In preparing for recitals I often accompany students which adds not only enjoyment for them but encouragement for them to overcome hesitancy to perform publicly. Read More

I am a very patient teacher and I understand that students learn at different paces. Therefore I set realistic goals that the student can achieve and WANT to achieve. By setting a goal they can and want to achieve through 10-15 minute practices over 3, 4, 5, or even 6 days a week, it pushes the student to put in the minimal work to progress and grow to be the musician they want too be or even didn't know they could be. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. After their first solo piece, there will be room for expansion into different genres of music. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and is prepared to study, and I will guide them in my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level.
