With a teacher-mom, I believe my teaching experience started as soon as I could wrangle the attention of my little sister or stuffed animals. Officially I did some tutoring and a pre-teacher program in high school, along with some volunteering at after school programs. I also tutored and taught private lessons while in college. In my student teaching semester, I taught P-12 music classes including band and music appreciation. After college I spent ten years with a Christian camping organization where I taught as well. I myself am a music student on my way to study at University of Alabama for a Bachelor's in Music Education. I have been privately instructing students of all ages for a full three years, starting when I was fifteen. I never turn down an opportunity to perform, and have played in multiple orchestras, symphonic bands, jazz bands, and marching bands. I spent two of my years in a marching band as the drum major, and continue as the principle clarinet player in both my home orchestra and symphonic band. Read More
