I’m a passionate instructor that has enthusiastic energy and desire to make students improve. I believe that not only does the instructor must be talented good, but also know how to teach and build a strong trusting relationship to help achieve the student’s goals and see their progress. I started teaching privately in 2004, and have been doing so in either my own studio or in the studios of others ever since.. In 2013, I started contracting with the Anaheim City School District to teach string classes in their after-school music program. Since moving to Texas, I have started orchestra programs at two different schools in Dallas county, while continuing to build my own studio. I like to pull ideas from different schools of thought. I would much rather paint a canvas with many colors than just a few. Some schools you may be familiar with are Suzuki, Czerny, Galamian, Flesch, Hanon, Mayron Cole, and many others. I tailor my lessons to fit the current needs of every student. I have also taught students as part of the Community Outreach Program of the San Antonio Symphony and plan to continue being part of the community outreach program with the San Antonio Philharmonic. As a professional recorder player, I have performed as soloist with the Music of the Baroque Orchestra. My fourteen years as a strings teacher has included both private lessons and public school settings. Many of his students have gone on to be involved in regional orchestras, Houston Youth Symphony, and university orchestras. From 2007 through 2010 orchestras under my care have earned consistent First Division ratings at UIL competitions, including “Sweepstakes” honors in 2008.
