Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I like to use several methods in my lessons. I use a lesson book, Essential Elements for Strings for violin and viola students and Alfred books for piano students. In addition to these, I supplement with song books, concertos, etudes, scales, and songs the students want to learn to play. Depending on the students level, I will focus on a certain range of scales to build strength. The first few lessons are spent learning about one another and giving/getting feedback on what the student liked or didn't like. This is very important to me, as I want to establish long-standing musicians! I also try to establish a vocal goal each month.
