I began teaching violin and viola lessons while pursuing his bachelor's degree in Colorado and instantly fell in love. I have been teaching consistently for the past five years. I encourage a consistent practice session as a key point for students of any ability level, as this helps students progress at a fast rate. I like to keep a balance of teaching classical repertoire to promote technical improvement, as well as music that may be more relevant to my students' lives, such as folk or pop, to keep lessons and the violin fun. I like to balance musical enjoyment and technical training in my teaching method. I like to see the students making new musical and technical discoveries each week. I encourage them to set goals such as performing in quarterly student recitals and to consider taking part in a Syllabus program that has advancing yearly goals.
