I am a passionate and motivated instructor with a love for working with students of all ages and levels. I hold four degrees in violin performance and have been teaching for nineteen years. I ask them to bring any materials they have and will often recommend books and supplemental material I have had success with. This is achieved through setting and attaining specific goals and keeping a student engaged with the decision making process of what they want to play. I have sung in choirs for thirty years. Over that time, I also performed in several musical plays, and took about 22 college course units in music covering piano, guitar, singing, and musicianship. I took singing lessons with Dr. Ron Shaheen over a five year period. My day job is Mandarin interpreter, and I have time enough to develop as a musician when that work is completed.
