Beginner Violin/Viola/Cello/Double Bass- I typically start in a class method book like essential elements or something similar, and move out of that book into etude books with music that pairs well with them, before moving onto things that are more student chosen once they can play well enough to play things that they like. I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2008 with a B.S. in Music Education and an emphasis on violin, and from Boston University Online in 2012 with a Master's in Music Education. I began teaching lessons in college, but grew my studio while I was preparing for grad school auditions from 2010-2012. Most of my students at that time were beginner piano lessons and I love to teach young children. I also greatly enjoy teaching children with autism.
