Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I am a passionate and dedicated performer, teacher, and music history scholar. From the moment I picked up the violin 20 years ago, I discovered my love for music, and it is this love that led me to obtain a BM, MM, and Professional Performance Certificate in violin. My interest in the historical traditions of classical music also led me to obtain a second master's degree in Music History, where I researched and wrote about the under-represented French composer and violinist Joseph Bologne, le Chevalier de Saint-Georges. Beginner Violin/Viola/Cello/Double Bass- I typically start in a class method book like essential elements or something similar, and move out of that book into etude books with music that pairs well with them, before moving onto things that are more student chosen once they can play well enough to play things that they like. Beginner Piano- I use the Leila Fletcher books because they are set up at a good pace, and work through those, adding in music that a student wants to learn as we go. Read More

I am a passionate musician and teacher with 11 years experience teaching orchestra grades 4-12 in PA public schools. I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2008 with a B.S. in Music Education and an emphasis on violin, and from Boston University Online in 2012 with a Master's in Music Education. I have performed in various ensembles all over Central PA, on both violin and viola and I am a violinist in the West Shore Symphony Orchestra. Read More

I began teaching lessons in college, but grew my studio while I was preparing for grad school auditions from 2010-2012. Most of my students at that time were beginner piano lessons and I love to teach young children. I also greatly enjoy teaching children with autism. I have had success in combining my music education and music therapy skills to help students accomplish musical goals while also addressing behavioral goals such as increasing verbal or nonverbal communication.
