I enjoy playing music with other people, so I would love to share this joyful experience with my students. In 2007, I came to the States for pursuing the Masters degree in Boston and Doctoral degree in Madison. I have had lots of performance opportunity and community engagements. After the engagement with Civic Orchestra of Chicago, I am now excited to bring the joy of playing music to more people. Read More

I truly believe that sheet music, is one of the biggest hurdles of music education, and drives up the cost. Students with my studio, will not be required to buy any music (though they can if they want to!). Even beginning strings will learn different styles very early in their pedagogy, and it will inherit the strengths of each particular instrument. Read More

I mainly teach the Suzuki method, especially for beginner/intermediate players. After Book 5, I tend to use conservatory repertoire such as technique books ( Sevcik, Hrimaly), Scale Books, Etudes, and concertos. When it comes to keeping my students interested, I try to find songs that my students are interested in learning. I find those songs according to their level and the technique I want to teach them and then move on from there. Read More

My teaching style is a little different. I'm used to very traditional training and the things I've learned from college has inspired me to take a different approach. My main goal is to get to know the student, become familiar with their interests and what they would like to accomplish during our lessons. Another goal of mine is to introduce the importance of music theory and technique. I hope to help the student develop a strong foundation so that they can continue to grow as a musician. Read More
