For beginning students, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, Suzuki, and easy scales. Once the student has progressed and appears to grasp the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce etudes and solo pieces. I also teach students elementary music theory related to the pieces they are learning. For advanced students, I focus more on their technique and performance. I have played in numerous orchestras, even jazz bands. As well as playing alongside the president's very own Marine Quartet in 2013 and 2014. I have had the chance to take master classes from Professor Susanna Klein at Virginia Commonwealth University and to perform side by side with Mark Wood, his wife and son!
