I have had plenty of experience teaching both privately and in a classroom setting. I began teaching private lessons on the piano and violin in high school, where I mainly had elementary school beginners. In college, I continued to teach private lessons and also had plenty of opportunities to work with students of all different ages and skill levels in a variety of settings. You must spend time and practice in order to see improvements. Developing a weekly practice chart is something I like to implement in my lessons. Using positive reinforcement and rewards such as stickers, or sometimes candy can be very helpful to some. I try to find out what inspires my students and I do not try to mask who I am.
