Depending on a student, I use different approach in repertoire and technique.I try to see what student needs and what he or she is interested in , then I adjust my teaching technique. If someone is having challenges with left or right hand , holding the bow or any other technique, I do my best to help student and don't move forward till problem is resolved. I like to use several methods in my lessons. I use a lesson book, Essential Elements for Strings for violin and viola students and Alfred books for piano students. In addition to these, I supplement with song books, concertos, etudes, scales, and songs the students want to learn to play.
