All of my students can expect to participate in the hundred-day practice method, which requires practice each and everyday (even if it is just scales or review). Once they hit one hundred days, they will earn a reward within the studio. Each student will be given their own specific "Violin Diet Plan" where they will be required to practice scales, learn musical terminology, develop right and left hand technique, study etudes, and learn solo repertoire (sonatas, concertos, show pieces, etc.). I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2019, I graduated from Cornell College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance and Kinesiology Exercise-Science. Performing in different states and islands has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play on the same stage as Chaka Khan, learning from instructors Itzhak Perlman and the Catalyst Quartet. This degree has pushed me to refine my skills on a few secondary instruments, including piano, voice, viola, ukulele, and guitar. I have been fortunate in the performing experiences presented to me, and have performed many diverse genres and styles, as well as in a number of unique settings. Read More

I strive to instill in my students the capacity to teach themselves; after all, it is in the practice room, not in the lesson studio, where the greatest leaps are made. Through a focus on sound and air, the embouchure is trained to be reliable and consistent. A strong foundation of fundamental mechanics and technique will open the doors to play any music in any style. Read More

I've always said, "not being able to read sheet music is like trying to be a writer who can't read, it makes no sense". I also begin with teaching proper form. Meaning how to hold the instrument and how to use proper technique. Read More
