Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:

I hold four degrees in violin performance and have been teaching for nineteen years. I have worked with students ages 2-adult. I have trained students to be professional violinists and worked with countless beginners and amateurs. I enjoy working with all ages and levels. I teach a mixture of Traditional and Suzuki Methods. I introduce note reading at the beginning of lessons even with young children. I often work from several books at a time focusing on pieces, scales and etudes. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Violin, Saxophone, Clarinet
I have a great breadth and depth of experience with instrumental music education. Clarinet has been my primary performance instrument, but I have found over the years that the techniques that I use to teach clarinet are easily and successfully transferable to the other instruments that I teach. Of course the differences have to do with embouchere, fingerings (which are similar to the clarinet), and tone production. Read More

For beginning students on violin we start with many techniques found in the Suzuki method. From there, we jump into different styles of music while still focusing on developing solid technical foundations for the student. Once we move into standard repertoire the lessons begin to change based on what the student needs. I am a firm believer in consistent practice. I would much rather have a student who practices daily for 15 minutes then a student who does not practice except for the day before their lesson for two hours. Read More
Instruments: Violin, Cello
I look at a students ability to read music first to determine what kind of music they should be working on. I teach students on an individual basis in order to quickly help them improve. I expected online students to bring up information about their playing experiences so that can best accommodate them as their online private teacher. During quarantine, I was able to teach 100 students how to play an orchestra instrument and it has a lot to do with showing and explaining live during those lessons. Read More

I try to understand the needs of my student; musical, technical, personal. We are all different, so we start from different points. There are no superior and inferior starting points, for we never know where the shortest paths lie. The following are the bare necessities: 1) Realistic Goals. Reaching those goals will give the student satisfaction and encouragement to proceed further. 2) Making Progress, no matter how small, every lesson. A journey is movement. Read More
