I love being able to send students on their way for the day knowing that they put their best foot forward. Even if they did not come to a lesson prepared, being able to see growth in the small amount of time I'm with them is enough for me. I understand that every student progresses at their own pace, so I work with them and their parents to make sure that realistic goals are set and written down to hold the student, parent, and myself to this growth plan. Im a passionate teacher and professional multi-instrumentalist. I graduated with a Bachelor in Violin Performance from Appalachian State University in 2012 and have since performed classically with orchestras in eastern Tennessee and across North Carolina as well as with a professional wedding ensemble. Im also active within the Asheville music scene as a bluegrass/folk/Americana musician with two projects, Old Sap and The Jackson Grimm band. Hello everyone! I am a board certified music therapist, but have thoroughly enjoyed teaching since I was 18! I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor Degree in Music Therapy. I have since then gotten my Suzuki Training and am hoping to continue my passion for teaching here in the Asheville area. I enjoy gigging, and jamming with friends.
