I began teaching private cello and guitar lessons in 2009. Over time, I have branched out to teach piano and bass guitar. I have experience working with students one-on-one or in groups. I keep the lesson fun and engaging, while still focusing on important concepts. I focus on technique with a light mixture of music theory. I have been brought up with the Suzuki method of learning and recently I completed my Suzuki Teacher-Training in books 1-8. I find this method to instill the very best habits in students of all ages. The learning process for a young child is best when a parent is learning with the student. During my undergraduate degree I was focused on becoming a better player myself so I could become a better teacher to others and I worked frequently with my peers to work on my abilities as an instructor.
