Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. For my students, I like to follow a similar method as my piano teacher by using the Bastien method, but also adding in songs that the student may be interested in so that it is fun and motivating. During my year at North Carolina School of the Arts, I studied under Kevin Lawrence, a prestigious student of Ivan Galamian. Under his guidance, I was first instructed in the Galamian method of violin playing, which is what I recommend first and foremost to students. In theory and playing across various string instruments, Galamian's methods developed violin playing in the twentieth century, which are what I continue forward, using new techniques and technology in the twenty-first.
