Throughout my studies and now professional career, I have had the opportunity to work with such musical greats as Wynton Marsalis, Giora Schmidt, Philip Setzer, and Caroline Goulding. In 2014, I had the opportunity to tour Spain. I have also performed at the Strathmore Music Center outside Washington, DC, and at the Kimmel Center and Academy of Music in Philadelphia. My teaching experiences began in college where I'd work with fellow students in regards to perfecting their violin skills. After graduating college I worked a little bit with a middle school student. I encourage my students to practice at least 20 mins a day vs. playing for an hour and coming into practice. I believe you don't truly grasp the technique by doing that but this is dependent on the students. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my undergraduate where I would teach and mentor incoming freshman placed in our studio. During the summers I would teach locally and fill in for past mentors who were on tour. This allowed me the fortune of teaching both beginners and advanced students. I strongly recommend consistent practice as I firmly believe an hour a day far out performs 5-7 on one day. A students growth is mostly contributed to ones own passion and discipline however as long as the student is willing to learn, then I am willing to help nurture their devotion and maturity to allow them to become as good of a instrumentalist that they wish to become. I love to teach! I believe my Grandmother's pedagogical influence has had deep impact on my musical journey. The art of teaching is a challenge which I enjoy very much. I began to teach privately as a teenager and have continued to do so both as a private instructor and as a faculty member of several music schools. I love teaching the violin and viola to students who desire to learn the instruments regardless of their goals for the instrument.
