In my lessons, I will encourage many types of fundamentals to round-out students playing abilities at the level which is most appropriate at the time. I love being able to send students on their way for the day knowing that they put their best foot forward. Even if they did not come to a lesson prepared, being able to see growth in the small amount of time I'm with them is enough for me. In the past 14 years, I have taught every level of music education from age 1 to 22, and I have experienced teaching in many different scenarios including preschool music time, elementary chorus and general music, indoor percussion, and concert, wind, and marching bands. My I love to see and hear my students make strides in a positive direction through practicing their music, and with my help, enjoying every moment of it! I try to take each student as an individual with their own unique personality, likes and dislikes, and motivations. So I enjoy customizing a lesson plan that is as individual as each student.
