I have been teaching since I was studying at The University of Tampa in 2006. Since, I have taught students in Upstate New York while studying and graduating from SUNY Adirondack. Most recently Ihave been teaching studentsin the Riverview area while studying for my bachelors degreefor thepast 3 years. I am extremely passionate about helping people improve the overall health of their singing, and strive to instill greater confidence in their voice. I have been teaching privately for four years, both in-person and remotely, and have also given guest masterclasses at the University of South Florida. I graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with a Bachelor in Vocal Performance, and from there went on to study at Indiana University, graduating in 2013 with a Master's degree in Vocal Performance. Knowing that people learn through a variety of methods, Blanche Marie draws from several well known method books to personalize the instruction to the pupil's needs and strengths. She believes that choosing one method book for every student doesn't make sense because each student's needs are different. The method books used depend on the needs of the students and the instruments they are learning. Ive been told I am a very encouraging teacher. My goal is to teach the student something new in every class. Lessons can focus on technique, performance, sight reading / singing, ear training, music history, music theory, composition, improvisation, fakebooks and more. Piano lessons can cover everything from how to sit at the piano to using rotational movements to get accuracy in large leaps. I focus on musicality. A student does have to be Lang Lang to sound beautiful. Read More
