I began teaching privately in Beaumont, Tx while pursuing my undergraduate at Lamar University from 2009 to 2015. I ended up working adjunct in my Masters degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas from 2015 to 2018. While working for UNLV I also acquired a job teaching for Tailor Robinson Music Company. During my nine years of teaching, I have taught a multitude of ages, experience levels and different genres. I use humor and my own experiences to first establish a caring environment in which the student can be comfortable. Once that connection is established, I like to find out the students interests and make sure a personal goal is set that we can achieve together. There has to be something exciting the student can achieve in order to develop self-motivation. I cater each lesson to the student- no two students will be on the same track and that's ok. Each person, just like each voice, is very unique! I don't see a purpose in forcing a student to learn a piece they don't like. We are here to make music so collaboration is a huge deal for me. My lessons are about technique and applying the technique to repertoire. I spend about a third of the lesson on specific technique work and I always encourage students to bring in their own material that we can work on as well. I of course always have songs to suggest and I cater to each individual student's needs. If you need a high song, I'll find a high one. If you need a pop song, I'll find a pop song. Read More

A native of Seattle, Christine began her musical studies as a classically-trained trumpet player. Moving to Chicago and collaborating with jazz colleagues led her to pursuing a master’s degree in vocal jazz. She was accepted into one of the nation’s leading jazz institutions, the University of North Texas. There she focused on her new passion for singing, honing her skills in piano, songwriting, arranging, and improvisation.
