I teach all aspects of brass playing: air control, embouchure development, articulation, tone, range, and musical interpretation of all styles. For beginning piano students, I usually begin with the Alfred Prep Course, supplemented with a notespeller to help expedite learning to read music. I also begin ear training, chords, and solo repertoire as the student becomes ready. For voice students, I begin with breathing, vocal technique, and skill-level appropriate songs. By trying to find out what inspires the student I can successfully heed to their wants and needs. My teaching style is somewhat based on a step-by-step. I do not like to do random bursts of trial by error methods. I do have my own curriculum that I set, and occasionally if I feel that a certain method isn't working I'll bring in a different method.
