Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. With the KU curriculum, I have had to learn how to work with children from Pre-K to 12th grade, which means any age is something I've been prepared for. Also, I got to sing with the Intergenerational choir at KU, which would happen at the local community center with senior-aged people. I also had the opportunity to perform with a small jazz combo and a large big band on a number of occasions, as well as singing with a mixed a capella ensemble in which I sang many of todays popular songs rearranged for acapella vocal ensembles. I have taught 2 college age males who had little to no musical experience whatsoever. My teaching style is obviously very different from a lot of other people. I like to set clear goals with my students rather than setting goals by myself to give to my students.
