My students focus on learning to use their whole body as their instrument with proper breathing, posture, and diction. If the student feels insecure (all too common of a problem) I try to help them feel relaxed and comfortable while boosting their confidence. I am a songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer with a lifelong passion for learning. This Spring, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cornish College of the Arts with my BM in Music Composition and Performance. Once students are past the fundamentals and rudiments of their instrument(s), I introduce large selections of solo repertoire to sight-read in lessons; this process allows students to try out a large number of pieces, and then selecting a few to study forward.
