Instruments: Voice

The voice is the most personal of all instruments. No matter what level or age you are, singing is a powerful way to portray emotions and stories. I love tailoring each lesson for each student to ensure that they are enjoying themselves and acheiving their goals in a healthy way. I work very closely with my students to give them the freedom to sing the pieces they are interested in while also offering repertoire that challenges and encourages vocal growth. Read More

Instruments: Voice, Flute

Encouraging regular practice is one of the key components I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the strudent progress and gain a passion for the instrument.  If a student isn't having fun in their lessons, then I'm not doing my job!  My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own material.  I look forward to working with all new students! Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Conga, Music, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Djembe, Acoustic Guitar

I encourage students to focus on their personal expression and growth as a musician. While I select pieces for students based on their skill level and ability to take challenges effectively, students are given the freedom to browse their own musical library or lexicon to perform music they enjoy or is moving to them. Since many modern songs can be found without sheet music or proper notation for each instrument, I arrange pieces and songs for students' instruments as close to the recorded version as possible. Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Trumpet, Bass Guitar, Synthesizer, Music, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

Being an independent artist myself and having to wear many different hats, I understand the importance of curiosity and versatility. I approach every student differently as each student is a different person with a different background who holds their own unique interests and mode of learning. I don't see any reason why a student shouldn't be refining their songwriting chops while also brushing up on classical piano skills or why a jazz trumpet student shouldn't feel empowered to learn the art of recording and producing. Instruments: Piano, Voice, Synthesizer, Keyboard

I can teach any skill level. If you are beginning with zero experience, the first thing I teach is middle C. It's the center of the universe as far as the piano is concerned. I also teach 'spider position', which is how the student wants to have their hands positioned. Intermediate students can dictate to me what they want to work on. If they just want to learn "Charlie Brown" I can teach that, or if they want a more regimented lesson plan I can do that as well.  I also have advanced students. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
