Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Dr. Pittman traces his vocal lineage all the way back to the father of Bel Canto sinigng, Francesco Lamperti, and I am very fortunate to have learned from this excellent singer. Dr. Pittman instructed me in a very organic manner that focused on the position of different muscles and bones that are involved in the anatomy of singing. My teaching experience has been with my church choir. I started out as the accompanist and helper. A year or so later I found myself in the conductor's seat. For two years I worked with my church's choir to bring out the best that they could be, and to bring joy to the congregation. Not only did I conduct the choir, but I was their accompanist as well. I am a passionate music teacher who loves the one on one instruction I can provide to students. I taught elementary music in a small town in western Kansas for two years, and had private students in piano, voice, flute, and trumpet. Currently I am working on a Master of Music degree in instrumental conducting and am expected to graduate in May of 2016. For beginning students who are new to music, I typically like to start with learning notes, note names, and rhythms. I like to incorporate rhythmic exercises and other fun activities to get them to enjoy what they are learning. For adults, I try to find out how much the student knows about music and see what their interests are.
