i have been teaching for 55 yrs both privately and in teaching studios as well as in group settings . i have volunteered teaching classes at the ymca , the boys and girls clubs . continuing education at northern kentucky university . i have taught musicians on stage as we perform . i love to teach as well as i love to play live. i also teach music theory and composition. i teach all stringed instruments including piano and drums . i teach all instruments . even those that i do not actually play . sax flute trumpet etc. if you can play one instrument you can play them all once you know where the notes are . right ? lol . Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance.
