Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I am a very patient teacher, but I am also strict when it comes to practice. I am adamant about practice as it is everything to the student's success. However, I work with each and every student individually to find out how they learn, and I work at their pace. Every student is different, so I work at their level. I started teaching college age students as an Undergraduate as part of my vocal pedagogy class, and have also taught students for my Graduate vocal pedagogy class. I continued teaching some after the classes concluded. Early in 2013, I officially opened my own voice studio and have been taking new students ever since. I enjoy teaching voice students of middle school age through adulthood. I let my students choose what style of music they would like to sing so that they will enjoy working on it. Read More

My lessons are a lot of fun because I have high standards but also maintain a light hearted atmosphere. I teach music to students of all levels and ages. I currently teach Music Theory at the Portland Youth Philharmonic (PYP) and beginning violin at the Metropolitan Youth Symphony (MYS). As a performing artist, I am the Assistant Principal Violist for Symphony Tacoma and a core member of the Sarasota Opera Orchestra. Read More

When I was a child I joined a school symphony in the percussion section. I spent three years with the school while also taking private lessons on a drum kit. I had a passion for classical rock and punk music, my step uncle gave me my first drum kit, bass and electric guitar. For children I start with easy and fun fundamental books. For older students I use Alfred's All in One for Adults series. I wrote my own vocal teaching book.
