Typically, I begin with regimented learning. For guitar students, I use Hal Leonards Guitar Method 1. For voice students, I teach basic breathing exercises and fun, sustainable and memorable warm-ups. From there, I begin to prep them for their first solo performances. I offer studio-wide performance opportunities for new and experienced students to show off their skills! As they progress, I teach to their interests and needs. I'm a motivated and passionate teacher who loves to work with students, sharing my love for all kinds of music. I started playing piano when I was seven, and have regularly studied music under the tutelage of several wonderful and knowledgeable teachers ever since, and I continue taking private guitar lessons even today. I received a Bachelor of Music degree in Commercial Music from Belmont University in 2017. Playing with a wide variety of ensembles in a wide variety of styles, including rock/metal outfits, pop acts, country bands, jazz and fusion groups, and classical guitar duos and trios, has definitely been one of the defining aspects of my life-long music education.
