I base my teaching methods on the student I am teaching. For students that are children at a beginner level, I typically begin with the essential elements of creating vocal foundation which I draw from many sources. Once we have set a good foundation, we tend to begin working on repertoire that is appropriate for the level at which they are singing, using those songs as learning opportunities. My teaching experience began at the University of Tulsa. I taught voice to a few students who were non music majors for about a year. After graduating from the University of Tulsa, I began teaching at Brook Fine Arts Academy in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I taught over 30 students a week in both voice and piano (ages 3 to 20) for over a year. I am passionate about music and about helping find the unique approach for each student. Music Theory is the language of music and I focus a portion of each lesson learning that language. I am a freelance cellist who records and performs frequiently with local artist in the Oklahoma City Metro area. I also perform regularly with the Oklahoma City String Quartet. In 2015 I graduated from the Oklahoma City University with a Master's Degree in Cello Performance, and in 2013 from the Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Science in Piano and Cello Performance.
