I began teaching private lessons in 1989. My focus is to understand what learning style my students have and base my teaching methods on their individual needs. In college I studied pedagogies (teaching methods) for band, orchestra and majored in vocal and classroom education. I am a cellist from Minnesota that has just moved back from living in New York City for the past seven years. I graduated with honors and received the Kagan Orchestral Performance award from the Aaron Copland School of Music under the tutelage of Marcy Rosen. I began my Bachelor of Music degree at New York University, studying with Clive Greensmith of the Tokyo String Quartet.
