I've been teaching music for a wide range of generations of students for over 10 years. When I was in Japan, I had taught lessons in Yamano music school, which is one of well-known music schools in general music lesson industries in Japan. Throughout classical music to Jazz music, providing a lesson with full of joyfulness within a genuine music education to students is my teaching motto. Having an ability of playing music with your instrument is to be able to improve your own personality and expressions. Read More

I tend to start my lessons with discussing what has brought the student to their instrument, and what music they love. After learning about their hopes and goals, I start teaching from a technical perspective to help them get a handle on their instruments. From there I discuss practice techniques, music and guides to listen to, and start teaching them songs and repertoire they are passionate about. I love incorporating listening, writing, and seeing live music into a student's learning experience. Read More

Immersed in the dynamic arts community, I served on the Board of the Pocatello Arts Council, nurturing my passion for both performance and advocacy. Currently, I am delving deeper into the nuances of jazz at New York University, pursuing my Master's degree in Jazz Studies under the mentorship of acclaimed drummer Ari Hoenig. My dedication to musical excellence and cultural exchange shines through in every performance, blending traditional rhythms with contemporary flair. Read More

Having taught well over 300 students over the last 10 years, Jason does not subscribe to any one particular method of teaching, no matter if it's guitar, voice or bass. The pursuit of music and creativity is unique to each individual and, therefore, each individual needs to be taught differently to help them discover and maximize their own abilities.Jason is a highly accomplished musician who believes that learning to read music and understand music theory is vastly important, but doesn't use the same approach, resources, books, etc. for each student. Instruments: Voice
As natural as a singing voice can be it still takes effort and hard work to maintain your sound or keep yourself relevant. I self taught myself a lot. Through this self teaching I was able to help others go through the same process a little easier. I spent hours if not shut ins (days of just soaking and singing) editing and correcting my tone. Developing and finding your voice (confidence in yourself), knowing your sound/ style, and finally finding your rhythm to where even if there is no beat you can become one and be the beat is the basics before any singer can bloom. Instruments: Piano Voice Music
My teaching experience all started 2 and a half years ago when I first began teaching voice and piano in my home studio, working primarily with younger students. After some time teaching at home, I began to work at music studios and had the experience to teach students of all ages and see them progress and develop their technique. My experiences in teaching one-on-one lessons have allowed me to identify a student's strengths and weaknesses, as well as their interests, likes, and dislikes, right away and help take their talents to the best of their abilities. Instruments: Flute
The most exciting thing about working together with a student is savoring the aha moments - those times when a student walks into their lesson and shows how hard theyve been working by performing at their best. Teaching has been a fundamental part of my music-making for over 10 years. I opened my teaching studio during my undergraduate studies in Sydney, Australia and have continued to grow my practice since relocating to New York. Read More
