Not only do I teach students how to play or create music, but also how to successfully set goals and achieve them. Every musician should have a goal in mind when practicing. Learning how to manage that goal can be tricky. I like to work together with students to take their goals and break them down smaller into more manageable pieces for them to master. I typically will start students with excercises of my own creation. I then will add either Esssential Elements, or Rubanks Elelmentary Method depending on the learning style of the student. we will play duets from Amsdens Celebrated Practice Duets, or Selected Duests for trombone vol. 1 or 2 by H. Voxman. If students are interested in jazz, we will practice with How to Play Jazz and Improvise by Jamey Abersold and play chord changes using irealpro. Read More

Ever since a child, I've loved learning, music and sharing my passions! Through grade school I grew into the role of a leader and a musical/visual artist. In 2018 I graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelors in K-12 Music Education with a minor in Spanish. My years of teaching grade school has reaffirmed my passion for teaching, and drive to be the best teacher I can.
