For children, we'll begin with aiding the discovery of musical instinct. For adults, I start by becoming familiar with what kind of music got them curious. By looking at all its parts we can begin learning the fundementals and getting to a point of confidence in a solo or ensemble setting. I knew from an early age that I wanted music to be an integral part of my life. I began taking piano lessons at age 8, and pipe organ lessons at age 15, from my church's Minister of Music. I spent my school years playing for weddings, recitals, competitions, church services, community theater events, and of course, for my own enjoyment! I received my Doctor of Musical of Arts in voice from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 2016.
