My method makes understanding the breathing, support and execution of the voice the first priority.After this is achieved, exercises are assigned to further develop range, control, strength and vocal agility. The bottom line is that although it takes years to develop a strong, skillful and sensitive singer, it should not take years for a singer with good tutelage and a willingness to work hard, to sing competently. I am currently teaching mostly school age children, adolescents and adults. As a music therapist I have used guitar lessons as a therapeutic intervention to improve cognitive functioning in older adults.
