I am a musician that plays by ear but I know some theory as well so I try to find a happy medium when it comes to the needs of each student. So understanding each student's gift is paramount in guiding them through certain fundamentals. My philosophy has been to not tamper with the raw talent but instead, grow it. Though unorthodox, I found that tapping into the soul of passion, the student will feel a greater sense of freedom and appreciation for the craft. Read More

My experience as a teacher dates back to my community college years, as I began teaching privately in 2013. Something I have learned over the years is that regular and consistent practice time is our best friend as musicians. I believe that high-level training is the diligent pursuit of quality and detail - and that talent is simply how one approaches ANY new material. Read More

We start each lesson with proper breathing technique, the cornerstone of all vocals. We then move on to various vocal exercises to help condition the voice. Then we will work on the songs that interest you and that you are eager to sing! I will use a piano for warm ups and conditioning exercises. Whenever possible I like to use a pre-recorded accompaniment for the songs we are working on. Read More
