Today a student has many practice options to learn on. The equipment is so much better. There are so maany different types of practice pads. They now are easier to play on and have better rebound like a real drumhead on a snare for instance. There is also a company named Promark which makes Tubz which are plastic tubes that can be played on any surface. For beginning students, we will go over the basics of single-note playing, as well as basic chords. We will also cover basic rhythms, so they can build up to playing their favorite songs. There are also many ways to be creative with music, and we may also play some musical games to make practicing more fun.
