Ive performed extensively throughout the greater Seattle area and the greater northwest. I have experience with collaborative programming, accompanying singers and working with choirs. During university, I also performed with wind players. I opened my own studio in 2021 in the South Snohomish County area. In addition to playing and teaching guitar, I am also a classical composer. I am primarily a percussionist, with over 10 years of expierience playing and performing in jazz bands, marching bands, musical theatre, small ensembles, wind ensembles, and symphonies, and I was the principle percussionist for 2 years while I was in college. I also have 5 years of expierience on the trumpet, 15 years of guitar, as well as expierience with many other instruments. I believe one of the most important parts of teaching is to make it fun and encouraging. I emphasize the idea of seeing continuous progress on their instrument. This motivates students to set higher goals for themselves and achieve them giving them confidence and joy. I want to make guitar lessons fun, helpful and informative. If the student isn't learning what they want to learn and not having fun while doing it, I'm not doing my job. Getting the student to feel confident, no matter the amount they have played is important to me. I'm a laid-back, happy person and that reflects in the way I teach.
