I will provide students with diagrams on what is called guitar tablature, which is the easiest way to read music for guitar, for various chords and scales. Students will be able to play songs and guitar riffs by their favorite bands as well as create their own music and even create their own guitar solos and improvise over chords. In college while I was living amongst 7 other peers, I was constantly asked about how my creative process worked and how I created music from scratch. Using software such as logic and a typical 88 key piano, i would give mock lessons on how to create mood in music from simple chords which led me to realize how much I actually liked teaching. I went to school in Philadelphia where I studied with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and I have graduated from Temple University with a MM in Music Performance. During this time I was an active trumpet player in south Florida playing with orchestras, brass bands, jazz groups, and quite regularly latin bands due to the popularity of salsa/latin styles in that region. My Bachelors degree was completed in 2006 at the Univeristy of Delware.
