I began teaching in 2010 as a private lesson instructor. In 2016, I began working for a teaching school in New York City. I'm now based in Northeastern Pennsylvania and looking to cultivate a community of musicians through a shared love of the craft. For a typical lesson Ill teach half basics and theory and the other half songs or anything the students interested in. I am adamant that the student's are practicing at least 30 mins a day. For guitar I strongly recommend using Hal Leonards Guitar method books even if were only working out of it for a quarter of the lesson. For piano I recommend a Hal Leonard book without question. I do pass some handouts of pieces,exercises,etc that I feel are worthy for the student. Read More

The most important aspect of music, for me, is to enjoy what you are doing. I entered the world of music as an escape from my rigorous Engineering curriculum. The last thing I want is for my students to become too stressed or frustrated with their learning. Therefore, I ensure that all students go at a comfortable pace while setting challenging, but realistic, goals for themselves. I regularly offer student recitals, providing an opportunity for a group experience, peer feedback, and growth in self-confidence at the instrument. I have been teaching for nearly as long as I've been playing. In 2017, I graduated Mansfield University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Business while focusing on Percussion. Though I began playing drum set at the age of 5, I've grown to perform and teach in all areas of percussion.
