Love to be nice to people! Care for my students as persons and not as numbers. Have always some suggestions as far as repertoire goes. Im a welcoming teacher! Always have an ace under my sleeve as to how to approach certain repertoire and/or pieces. I am always open to suggestions by students as far as repertoire and technique goes, I consider myself a student, I might be more advanced than my students, but I am also a student and someone else happens to be my teacher, therefore I will always encourage good feedback from anyone. Instruments: Piano Guitar Cello
I began to tech private lessons back in 2015 in Brazil, and continued here in the United States. Before that, however, I gained most of my teaching experience tutoring group guitar lessons. My students will have the proper development by learning music and their respect instrument from the basis. The importance of practicing on a regular basis will always be reminded and encourage, as part of their development process. I am committed to help my students in the best possible way to achieve discipline and success in music. Read More
Instruments: Cello Music
My methods adapt to each student, their age and their level. The books I use go from the Suzuki books to the traditional Fouillard, Popper or Sebastian Lee methods. The repertoire would also depend on the student needs and the type of music he/she wants to learn. The age of the student is not relevant to me. The learning process might be different but anyone can learn an instrument at any age so I try to treat everyone equally. Read More
Instruments: Cello
My methods depends from the level each student possess. For beginners, typically start with introducing the main basic ideas of playing. Better understanding how things works on cello, will help to achieve desirable result. Through working process begin to introduce appropriate repertoire needed for daily improvement. For intermediate and advanced student, aside from teaching foundational instrument technique, I try to guide student, helping unfold all inner potential and foster creativity. Read More
Instruments: Violin Viola
My teaching experience dates back to my high school years. There was always a shortage of viola teachers, and I was often asked to teach my classmates. After I graduated, I worked as a violin and viola instructor at my school for a few months before moving to the United States. I have been teaching private lessons for seven years to students of all ages. As an artist and instructor, I believe in the power of discipline and how it can shape our lives. Read More
Instruments: Piano
My methods vary according to the students interests and development. But I also have a guideline of references. For the beginners, I like to use Faber Faber, Boris Berlin's Four Stars, and some Alfred's piano methods. As we go to intermediate, I focus mostly on repertoire, sight reading, harmonization and, if the student likes, some improvisation. The books vary according to the student. For advanced players, the focus is in the repertoire, so probably we will be using performance editions for the repertoire, with preference for the Urtext (original text) ones. Read More
