I have been teaching music in various capacities for approximately the last four years. My private studio has included both in-person and online lessons. As the music director of Smooth Progressions A Cappella, I worked with college students of various skill levels to produce an EP and an album. We sang everything from Irish folk ballads to Justin Timberlake. I began teaching while still in high school and continued teaching while attending the Eastman School of Music. Since graduating from the Juilliard School I was a faculty member of several well-known music conservatories in New York and later in Philadelphia. I currently teach in my studio as well as the students' homes at their convenience. I have performed in concerts and with symphony orchestras to enthusiastic reviews, have appeared numerous times in Carnegie Recital Hall in New York, and in Europe with the International Rome Festival. Once I feel the student has a solid understanding of these fundamentals, I move onto introducing them to repertoire that I think would help in putting these newly learned fundamentals into use as well as allowing them to expand their knowledge on other important factors of singing such as diction, pronunciation, phrasing, keeping a legato line, and possibly language skills depending on the piece.
