I generally start each lesson by asking the student 1) what went well in their practicing and 2) if there is anything they found difficult. If they mention an area of difficulty we focus on that before making any attempt to play the piece through. I make the lesson a partnership in which we work together toward the goal of accomplishment. Once this has been realized, we then treat the piece as a finished product. Read More

I am a super passionate and motivated music educator who loves working with students all ages. I graduated from Albright College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Industry Studies. My major encompasses all aspects of the music industry including business, entertainment law, education, songwriting, and music theory. I have performed on campus as well as in the Burlington, NJ area as a busker. I also sang in the chamber choir where I got to sing at the Empire State Building and visited Aaron Coplands house in New York. Read More

I have a deep joy for music making that I have eagerly shared with my students for the last 15 years. In addition to my varied teaching career, I am also a full-time freelance musician and travel all over the country and the world (Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Rome, Dublin) as a soloist and ensemble member. I have been fortunate to make music professionally since I was a teenager which inspired me to earn a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory and History, and Master of Music in Vocal Performance. This method is especially helpful when I am teaching very young beginning students. I thrive teaching children between 6-9. I emphasize consistent good practice for a short period of time. I encourage my students to fit their practice in transitional times. Practice after dinner, practice before your homework, etc. for 5-10 minutes. It is consistent good practice that allows you to progress faster rather than long unfocused work. I find my students love this idea and it gives them proper freedom in their practice. Read More

Music is my life. On any given day I am either performing, rehearsing, recording, teaching or studying. I perform on a regular basis with my Jazz trio and other artists from various genres. I also perform with my original band iNFiNiEN. Our latest CD has been internationally critically acclaimed. It has been considered "a masterpiece" and "one of the year's best" by many critics." I have received 2 music degrees for Jazz performance and continue to push myself to practice and study new ideas on drums and piano everyday. Read More

Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced, everyone needs a mentor to guide them in their art and with their gift. I think it's important for every student to progress at their own pace within their own level of comfortability. This helps the student develop empowering confidence in their own abilities. Every person manifests their voice through their body, so I approach singing in the same way a Yogi would approach Yoga. Read More
