For beginning students, I've used the Mel Bay's modern bass and guitar methods, James Bastien piano library, Essential Elements for wind instruments, Advanced Rock drumming and Master theory books by Charles S. For my beginning students i will start them off with the Rubank series of books for beginners. This will teach them basic tone and basic technique. After that I will continue to using the Rubank series for intermediate and advance volume 1. After that I will switch to the Hite Etude books Volume 1 and 2 these book will go into more depth with the tone and the technique. After that depending on how well the student response to the books I will then introduce solo repertoire appropriate for the their first recital performance. Read More
