I borrow heavily from both Music Learning Theory and the Orff Method, as well as include games and ideas that I have found to be creative and educational. It will be a challenge, but what I can definitely recommend is the Amazing Slow Downer app that could really help the student transcribe note for note without ever having to replay so much at the original tempo, whereas you could slow down the recording in order to catch certain notes of the solo with the amazing slow downer. Transcribing tunes can not only help the student identify notes, but help with rhythm and identifying certain licks, as well. Read More

I began piano lessons in the 2nd grade, and studied flute and guitar, and finally settled on playing French Horn in High School. I took lessons from a horn player in the Detroit Symphony. I majored in French horn and orchestral conducting at the Rubin Academy in Tel-Aviv, Israel, and completed my Undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
