With a beginner guitarist or bassist I want to both keep them excited about learning and teach the the fundamental necessary structure required to develop into a one of a kind musician. I use finger training and strengthening techniques to get the students physical ability in tip top shape, along with innovative chord ideas and mental understanding techniques. Students are taught how to expand their range, improve tone, proper breath support and how to produce a tone that is healthy and natural. I also believe in the collaboration of teacher and student. I am always asking students opinions or reactions on what we work on in the lesson. I also encourage my students to perform in recitals and competitions, if sharing their voice is part of their personal and/or professional goals.
