I was named a 2021 National YoungArts Foundation Finalist in Popular Voice and received the Merit Winner award for songwriting in the 2020 YoungArts Competition. I was selected into Grammy Camp 2020 and 2021 for Vocal Performance, NYU Contemporary Voice Workshop in 2020, and the NYU Songwriting Intensive in 2020. I won 1st in the 2019 NATS NJ Doris Lenz competition, 1st in the 2020 NATS NY, and 2nd in the 2021 NATS Eastern Competition. I was also recognized as a semi-finalist for the 2020 Hal Leonard vocal competition in the musical theater category and received the best soloist award for Blues/Pop/Rock Voice in the Downbeat Magazine 2021 Competition. First, all students must know the music essentials and the masters, especially on their instrument. Technique must be perfected by daily practice. I seek from every individual the highest level that they can attain to. Although my experience working with students goes back to high school, I began teaching at professional studios while completing my BA in Music. I also taught private lessons out of my own studio and even gave some pro bono lessons so I could put what I was learning at university into action. However, I ensure that each student walks away with ownership over the fundamentals of singing technique, so that they can grow on their own. We begin with a strong foundation and breathing technique, then weave in supported singing. With emphasis on breathing, we liberate the sound and expand the range.
