After that I received a bachelors degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas and then a masters degree in trumpet performance from the University of Texas at Arlington. Teaching guitar and bass began for me around the same time I stared gigging seriously. People who were at the show or even people in other bands would come up and ask if I gave lessons. I developed a lesson plan and began teaching. I have taught both beginners and advanced players but most of my students have been just starting out.
